A subscription to Clever Island delivers CD-ROM quality graphics and animation directly to your home via the Internet. Clever Island is a safe, secure, and self-contained environment where kids learn online.

A:  Clever Island focuses on the educational skills that are most important to a child’s development, including language, numbers, spatial reasoning, logic, and critical thinking. Our activities were designed by leading experts in education and child development to be engaging, powerful, and fun. A:  Clever Island is designed for children 3 to 8 years old.

A:  Clever Island automatically delivers a suite of age-appropriate activities to each user. However, our educational experts recognize that each child is unique and learns at his or her own pace. If in your opinion your child needs activities more or less difficult than he or she is receiving, you can change his or her level of difficulty. The difficulty switch is located in our Parent Control Center. To adjust this setting, log in with your Parent Account user name and password and click on Edit Child Account.
You can also give your child the ability to change the difficulty level of Clever Island for himself or herself. The switch for this option is also reached through the Edit Child Account link in our Parent Control Center.

A:  Yes. We created Clever Island so that even beginning readers can use every activity by themselves.

A:  Clever Island offers parents a wide range of resources through Clever Parents, our online parents’ section. A password-protected section gives parents reports on how their children have been using Clever Island, including favorite activities, preferred subject areas, and usage statistics.

Clever Parents has a wealth of other information as well. Parents can find out about every activity on Clever Island; they can download printable activities for offline fun; and they can read about our educational values and our Advisory Board. Clever Parents will help you get the most for your child out of your Clever Island subscription.
