Q:   What is the difference between a Parent Account and a Child Account?

A:  Both kinds of accounts are created when you subscribe to Clever Clubhouse. Think of the Parent Account as the ‘master key’ for your family’s subscription. With your user name and password, you can gain access to your account information as well as to reports about how your family uses our site. Child Account, on the other hand, gives Clever Clubhouse a way to deliver customized content to each child using our service. We also use Child Accounts to track each child’s activities around the site, so we can present accurate reports to parents. As a result, it’s important that each child in your family log in under his or her own user name when using the site: a child who logs in as somebody else won’t receive a custom-tailored experience.

Q:   How do I choose a user name and password?

A:  Your user name and password must be between three and sixteen characters long. User names and passwords are not case-sensitive: they can be entered in either upper case or lower case. They can contain letters, numbers, or some of each.

You may select any user name as long as it is not already taken by someone else. If your preferred user name is already taken, you will be prompted to select an alternative. (Adding a number to the user name you want is a good way to make it unique.)

Q:   Can I set up an account for a child who does not live with me?

A:  Yes. Because Clever Clubhouse is a web-based service, your access to our activities isn’t tied to any single location. If you wish, you can divide your 3 Child Accounts among 3 children living in 3 totally different parts of the world: as long as they have Internet access, they are just moments away from Clever Clubhouse.

Q:   How do I create a Child Account?

A:  To create a Child Account, log in to the Parent Control Center using your Parent Account’s user name and password, and select Add Child Account.

Q:   How many Child Accounts can I create?

A:  With a regular member of Clever Clubhouse, you can create up to 3 Child Accounts, each with its own user name and password.

Q:   How do I add more children to my account?

A:  Log in to the Parent Control Center using your Parent user name and password, then click on Add Child Account. Enter the child’s information, then click "Submit".

Q:   What happens if we forget a user name or password?

A:  On the Clever Clubhouse login screen, click on the Forgot Password button and follow the instructions. We will send your account’s user names and passwords to the e-mail address you list in your account information.

Q:   How do I change a user name?

A:  Unfortunately, once selected, a user name can not be changed.

Q:   Both of my children are registered on my account. Is it possible for them to use Clever Clubhouse at the same time if they are using different computers?

A:  Yes. As long as each child uses his or her own unique user name and password, they can enjoy Clever Clubhouse simultaneously.

Q:   What should I do if my child needs harder or easier activities than are offered at his or her age level?

A:  Clever Clubhouse automatically delivers a suite of age-appropriate activities to each user. However, our educational experts recognize that each child is unique and learns at his or her own pace. If in your opinion your child needs activities more or less difficult than he or she is receiving, you can change his or her level of difficulty. The difficulty switch is located in our Parent Control Center. To adjust this setting, log in with your Parent Account's user name and password and click on Edit Child Account.

You can also give your child the ability to change the difficulty level of Clever Clubhouse for himself or herself. The switch for this option is also reached through the Edit Child Account link in our Parent Control Center.

Q:   How do I change my account information?

A:  Much of your account information can be changed by logging into our Parent Control Center and following the Edit Parent Account and Edit Child Account links. If you would like to change the billing information on your account, please call our Membership Center toll free at . The Clever Clubhouse Member Center is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday.

Q:   How do I start/stop receiving updates and other informational e-mails from Clever Clubhouse?

A:  To start/stop receiving updates and other informational emails from Clever Clubhouse or Clever Island, log in to the Parent Control Center using your Parent Account’s user name and password. Select Edit Parent Account. You can start or stop receiving optional information via the checkbox at the bottom of the page.

However, please note that we will continue to send important and necessary communications regarding your Clever Clubhouse account to the e-mail address you list in your account information.
