Q:   How do I create a Child Account?

A:  To create a Child Account, log in to the Parent Control Center using your Parent Account’s user name and password, and select Add Child Account.


Q:   How many Child Accounts can I create?

A:  With a regular subscription to Clever Island, you can create up to 3 Child Accounts, each with its own user name and password.


Q:   How do I add more children to my account?

A:  Log in to the Parent Control Center using your Parent user name and password, then click on Add Child Account. Enter the child’s information, then click "Submit"


Q:   What happens if we forget a user name or password?

A:  On the Clever Island login screen, click on the Forgot Password button and follow the instructions. We will send your account’s user names and passwords to the e-mail address you list in your account information.


Q:   How do I change a user name?

A:  Unfortunately, once selected, a user name can not be changed.


Q:   Both of my children are registered on my account. Is it possible for them to use Clever Island at the same time if they are using different computers?

A:  Yes. As long as each child uses his or her own unique user name and password, they can enjoy Clever Island simultaneously.

 


Q:   What should I do if my child needs harder or easier activities than are offered at his or her age level?

A:  Clever Island automatically delivers a suite of age-appropriate activities to each user. However, our educational experts recognize that each child is unique and learns at his or her own pace. If in your opinion your child needs activities more or less difficult than he or she is receiving, you can change his or her level of difficulty. The difficulty switch is located in our Parent Control Center. To adjust this setting, log in with your Parent Account’s user name and password and click on Edit Child Account.
You can also give your child the ability to change the difficulty level of Clever Island for himself or herself. The switch for this option is also reached through the Edit Child Account link in our Parent Control Center.

 


Q:   How do I change my account information?

A:  Much of your account information can be changed by logging into our Parent Control Center and following the Edit Parent Account and Edit Child Account links. If you would like to change the billing information on your account, please call our Customer Care Center toll free at 1-866-4-CLEVER (1-866-425-3837). The Clever Island Customer Care Center is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday.

 


Q:   How do I start/stop receiving updates and other informational e-mails from Clever Island?

A:  To start/stop receiving updates and other informational emails from Clever Island, log in to the Parent Control Center using your Parent Account’s user name and password. Select Edit Parent Account. You can start or stop receiving optional information via the checkbox at the bottom of the page.
However, please note that we will continue to send important and necessary communications regarding your Clever Island account to the e-mail address you list in your account information.


Q:   When will charges appear on my credit card?

A:  Subscription fees will be charged to your credit card immediately after your free trial period, unless you cancel before the trial period ends. After the initial charge, you will be billed on the first day of each period of service. (The period of service will vary according to the terms of your subscription agreement, and may range from one month to one year.) The product descriptor on your credit card billing statement will read "Clever Island.com." Please note that certain versions of Clever Island sold through third-party retailers of distributors may have different selling practices. The Clever Island Customer Care Center is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday


Q:   How do I cancel my account?

A:  If you are feeling dissatisfied with your Clever Island experience, we hope you’ll give our Customer Care Center a chance to make things better before you cancel. However, if you wish to cancel your Clever Island membership, our Billing Department will be happy to oblige. You can reach our Customer Service and Billing staff at our toll-free number (U.S. & Canada only) 1-866-4-CLEVER (1-866-425-3837). We can be reached from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday. Please have available your user name and the e-mail address you list in your account information.
