Q:   My computer's sound keeps cutting out. What should I do?

A:  There are some activities on Clever Isalnd.com that may inadvertently lower the WAV volume on your computer. The WAV volume setting is different from your computer’s general Volume setting. You can access it by double-clicking the speaker in your start bar, or by opening your Start menu, selecting Programs -> Accessories -> Multimedia/Entertainment -> Volume Control, and raising the slider for ‘Wave Out’. If you find that your WAV volume is already set to an audible level, then Clever Island may use more sound channels than your sound card supports. Try getting the latest drivers for your sound card from the card’s manufacturer.

Q:   I can’t access the main Island: I’m getting a screen that says, "return to clever island" with the Clever Island logo; once I click it wont let me in. What should I do?

A:  The Clever Island application contains a series of popup windows. You probably have software installed on your computer that is designed to stop unwanted popup advertisements. That kind of software will treat the Clever Island popup windows as if it is a popup ad and will prevent you from seeing the Main Island window. In order to be able to access the Main Island, you need to either disable the popup preventing software completely or go into that software application and add Clever Island to your "Allow List". The "Allow List" is a feature in all versions of popup preventing software that lets you view popups from sites you have designated as safe or trusted.
